Emitaï Dieu Du Tonnerre

Synopsis

In 1942, during the Second World War, in a village in Casamance, Senegal, the diolas refused outside intervention. Some of the village's men were forcibly sent to the Franco-German front. Colonel Armand and his colonial army had to requisition rice to send it to the troops. In France, de Gaulle succeeded Pétain, but nothing has changed for Africa. Responsible for the harvests, the women decided this time to resist and hide the rice.
